Oral Hygiene

Oral hygiene is a critical component of orthodontic treatment.  Poor oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment can result in prolonged treatment time, tooth damage, and compromised outcomes.  It is definitely worth the time and energy to keep your teeth and orthodontic appliances clean!  Our clinical team will give you care instructions at the beginning of treatment, and will monitor your hygiene at each visit.

Please remember that orthodontic care does not take the place of your general dental care!  During orthodontic treatment, you should continue to see your dentist every 4-6 months for routine cleanings and care.
